How does True Water work?
The secret behind this innovative system lies in oxygen nanobubbles. These nanobubbles are 2,500 times smaller than a grain of salt and work differently than traditional microbubbles. According to Erica Moir, senior vice president of design, engineering, and product marketing at Jacuzzi, the inspiration for True Water came from outside the hot tub industry. The team looked at wastewater treatment and agriculture, where nanobubbles are already used, to bring this cutting-edge technology into the home spa world.

Beyond balancing the pH and alkalinity at startup, your only task is to replace a small silica gel cylinder every three months.
Jacuzzi has partnered with FROG’s @ease system to manage chlorine levels at a minimal dose, ensuring your water stays clean without the need for constant adjustments. “Our goal is to make this the simplest water you could have and make the experience amazing,” Moir says.
Backed by science and real-world testing
The True Water system didn’t just come about by chance. Jacuzzi put it through extensive testing in labs and backyards across different climates to make sure it performs under all conditions. “We had to get enough products in regions with different weather environments and types of water,” Moir says, noting that they tested it in homes with well water as well as in both humid and dry environments.
The system was also validated by researchers at the University of Maine, who were studying nanobubbles for NASA. This collaboration, along with lab trials where harmful bacteria like Legionella were introduced into the water, proved the system’s effectiveness. The result? The nanobubbles killed 99.9% of contaminants, often within just 15 minutes.
